There is a plethora of beautiful parks to visit and enjoy in the province of Ontario. Run the Trails
If you like the adrenaline that comes with more daring adventures, then we suggest you try Trail Running, a popular new sport that is loved by young Ontarians. You’ll need a good pair of running shoes, a water bottle to keep you hydrated and a fitness tracker to monitor your heart rate and time your run. The best part about this is you get to breathe in the fresh, natural air as you go through different terrains covered by lush green landscapes.
Go for Treasure Hunt
Activities for kids are must-do spring things. The good old classic treasure hunt is a great way to entertain kids and one of the most fun spring activities. Head to a nearby hiking trail park, or woods and hide things that your little ones can find. Let them get into full detective mode as you leave fun clues inside their jackets or other places. Take it a whole new level by letting them pick their own detective names. The winner gets marshmallows or a goody bag and the family gets to have a blast.
Birdwatching
Birdwatching is a great, educational activity for the whole family. Get a good pair of binoculars and head out to explore different species of birds in your area or around different provincial parks. Ask the kids to keep a book of the type of birds they can find and let them identity when they see one. Use the learning from the trip to help your kids build a bird feeder so they can make new friends with the feathered species. They will be mesmerized by the colors, beauty and wonders of nature.
Picnic in a park
Everyone loves picnics. And the weather is almost perfect to have one. Go to your favourite local park, grab your BBQ grill or sandwich meals and set up a camp for some lovely fun. Bring lots of board games and sports equipment to make the most of your time. You can also try out different ways to make coffee in the outdoors for a new, fun-filled challenge.
